Tour de Syracuse is an Omnium Points Race
- Enter 1, 2 or all 3 races
- To win the overall you must enter all three races
The races are also a National Calendar Lance Armstrong Junior Race Series (LAJRS) event ages 10-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18. For more info see (LAJRS)

The Races:
SATURDAY, May 21st
- Syracuse Criterium Starting at 8:30 AM
- KID’s RACE 12:30 PM, ages 2 – 14
SUNDAY, May 22nd
- Crooked Lake Time Trial – 8:30 AM – The Time Trial is OPEN TO OMNIUM REGISTRANTS ONLY
- Song Mountain Road Race – 10:30 AM

Omnium points breakdown and Distribution
Criterium and Road Race:
Points will be awarded in the same format to the top twenty-five finishers in both the Criterium and Road Race with first place finishers of each receiving the highest point value. Point distribution for the top twenty-five is as follows: 40, 37, 34, 31, 28, 25, 22, 20, 18, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Time Trial Points:
Point distribution for the top twenty is as follows: 25, 22, 20, 18, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Road Race Primes:
KOM and QOM will be awarded 3-2-1 for the first lap in each category. For two or three lap races a second KOM/QOM line will be located at the finish line at the top of Song Mountain Road. This KOM/QOM line will be used at the end of the first lap. See online race map for the location of both KOM/QOM lines.
Criterium Sprints:
Sprint points will be awarded for each category for 2 sprints 2-1 each sprint. Racers will be made aware ahead of time when they will be racing for sprint points.
Breaking of a Tie:
In case of a tie on total points, the tie will be broken in favor of the rider who has:
- The most first place finishes or, if still tied, the most second place finishes, etc., or if still tied;
- The highest placing in the last race, or the race nearest the last race of the omnium in which at least one of the tied riders placed.

All prize money is based on minimal field size of 20 riders.
Women’s Cat 1/2, Cat 3 and Cat 4 Field prize money is based on 8 deep vs. 10 deep for other fields. Dollar amount for top finishes are the same as the men.
*Cat 5 Men are eligible only for trophies or plaques.
